Week 5 Top 10 Highlights:
10. James Pledger attempting a backroll for his wildcard trick and almost pulling it off and drew cheers from the crowd.
9.  Walter Schacht going for broke with an Air Raley for his wildcard, but not quite landing it.
8. Julian Borgia taking 2nd place while taking care of business wearing a suit.
7. Adam Richard takes 2nd stomping a backside 540 for his wildcard.
6. Kevin Wipplinger with a 720 to secure the overall for the advanced division.
5. 9 year old Bryce Besse taking 1st place in wakeskate.
4. David Bruce takes 1st in beginner in his first competition at Revolution Cable Park.
3.  Josh Krakow with 2 full pulls across the A-frames as well as taking home a prize for crash of the day.
2. Andrew Proses stepping up his game at Revolution and ends up taking 2nd place.
1. Josh Wright completes the series 1st overall, setting himself up nicely for the final competition in Texas.

Congratulations to all riders who placed in the top five overall and have qualified to compete in the 2010 CableWakeboard.com National Points Championship. Riders from all over the country will be competing in what will be the first event of it’s kind in the world. If you finished in the top three spots overall you are guaranteed a spot to compete both individually as well as part of the team that will represent your home park. If you placed fourth or fifth you may compete individually but will not be scored as part of the team event unless someone ahead of you in the standings cannot or does not attend the final event.

The Final Event will be held October 8th-10th at Texas Ski Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas. Both the San Antonio Airport and the Austin Airports are 35 minutes away and both are fairly easy to find your way to TSR. Hotels are readily available in New Braunfels due to the heavy concentration of tourist destinations. In October the rates are fairly cheap because of the end of summer and unfortunately Schlitterbahn has closed for the season. The Wingate by Wyndham is the closest hotel to TSR (2 miles) and has breakfast and high speed internet. (They are also pet friendly as is TSR) Their phone number is 830-515-4701. I also recommend using priceline to get the best deal since there will be an abundance of rooms available in New Braunfels and San Marcos at that time. For more local information please check out the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce website.

Registration for the event will be $49.95. this will include a three day and two night ride pass, normally priced at $158 (3 Day Passes $36each and 2 Night passes $25each) There will be a late fee of $30 for all registrations and payments received after Sept 6th until September 13th. No Registrations will be taken after Sept 13th and invitations will be terminated at that time. TSR will also be hosting a banquet on Friday evening to which all competing riders will be able to attend free of charge and parents or friends will be able to pre buy tickets when submitting registration.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to the park on Friday for our third Summer Sessions event of the summer. We had a total of 18 riders this week despite being rained out on Thursday night and hope to see you all back for next week’s contest. If you were not able to stick around or make it to Revolution you can pick up your t-shirt, sticker and trophies at the Revolution office next time you stop by.  Also, we will be shutting the cable down at 5pm on Thursday nights to accommodate the crowd for the contest. If you want to practice your run before the contest you can do so earlier in the day or on another day that Revolution Cable is open. We are always willing to help you with your run and can offer suggestions to maximize your score for the next one. You can also keep track of how many points you earn each week towards the National Points Chase, and see how you rank against other riders in your division from other cables in the US at http://www.cablewakeboard.com/about/revolution-summer-sessions/
