Cable Wake Parks, the exclusive distributor for Rixen Cables, is proud to announce the opening of two new parks this spring and summer. New parks will open in Fort Myers and Tampa, Florida. Rixen has constructed over 180 cables worldwide, including all seven that currently operate in the United States.

The first one to be opened is the highly anticipated Revolution Watersports Park in Fort Myers, Florida. Owner Nick Dimasi has reconstructed the cable that was formerly located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The cable system has been upgraded to the finest modern standards, making it better than the day it was installed in North Carolina. The cable has already been erected and will be open to the public sometime in May. More information is available at www.myspace.com/swflrevolution.

The second Cable Wake Park can be found at McCormick Ski School in Tampa, Florida. McCormick Ski School was founded in 1956 and has trained over 30 world champions and 200 national champions. (www.mcwatersports.com) The addition of the cable lake will open their facility to the masses and improve on their wakeboard training. This site will offer two unique aspects that have never been available in the U.S. before.

The Rixen system that is being installed will run in a clockwise direction, unlike the other seven cables currently operating in the U.S. This will add some variety for the riders who already have experience riding a standard left turn cable wake park.

McCorimick’s will also be installing a new product from Cable Wake Parks and Rixen Cable systems, “The Easy Start.” This is a simplified cable system that has two towers and runs in a straight line down and back. This will be utilized for beginners to learn the pull of the system as well as advanced riders just wishing to hit sliders. This new system will open up the market to locations that may not have sufficient space for a full size cable. The Easy Start can be placed on a lake or pond and may be purchased at a fraction of the cost of a traditional cable system. Rixen, the inventor of the cable system, continues to innovate and show why they are the industry leader in the U.S. and Worldwide.

These two additions will make a total of six in Florida, compared to the three in the rest of the United States. Fortunately, for the other 49 states, Cable Wake Parks has several projects in the works for 2009, all in states other than Florida. For more information on starting your own cable park, log onto www.CableWakeParks.com.
